Debut album by English band THE LOVELIES, from Portsmouth. We released a single by them as one of our first references ever, and after that we renew this relationship with this whole album. Supported by Mr John Peel himself. Close to THE WEDDING PRESENT in energy and frenzy guitars.

'Tongues', BEEF's second album, was originally released by Acuarela label in 1994. It was acclaimed as one of the best records of the year, thanks to its superb sound (it was recorded in New York, produced by legendary Kramer, yes the Shimmy Disc one!) and its blending of experimental moods, future pop close to the best 70's krautrock and their unique sense of humour. This reissue included the tracks in the deleted 'Beef sings' single.

They debut in the big format with this album of three songs that will delight the lovers of fibrous sounds and juvenile melodies. Impressive, solid, vibrant, euphoric, homogeneous and with a faultless production work. Definitely they’ve got the most catchy and intelligent pop of the country, and, as someone else said, “between THE POSIES and SEBADOH there’s a small peak they have dared to conquer”.

The album that should definitively confirm the band as great sogwriters. Even deeper, denser, more serious, sharp and sincere. Lyrics are now more important, turning their beginnings' blue skies to grey. Instrumentation achieves a starring role: 'Orlando' is almost a song without Jone, and on 'Desacierto' they achieve unsurpassable peaks of beauty, something that could be useful to describe the rest of the songs on this record.

The only album this Spanish band released before splitting up. Teenage energy, close to JULIANA HATFIELD or BELLY thanks to the sweetness of their female singer Esther, acoustic moments and noisy storms, always spiced by their characteristic melodic tenderness.

They changed with the help of electronic instruments. Intense emotions and new structures à la INSIDES.

After two singles released we got twelve definitive songs, little bites of pop adorned by the unmistakable, velvety voice of Emily, which take us from euphoria ('Confusion' or 'Sultry Clouds') to intimacy and melancholy ('15 Lines' and 'Bullet') through songs with a complex and complicated sound ('Out Of Season') and acoustic songs with haunting beauty ('Suicide Mind').

Band formed by Tito Pintado (PENELOPE TRIP) and David Rodríguez (BEEF) with the help of Mark Cunningham (MARS, RAÈO), Jacobo (EL REGALO DE SILVIA), Juanjo (BEEF) and Pancho (STEREORENT). Dominated by David's technology, their songs exude immediacy, freshness and imagination, joined in a masterpiece of the most avant-garde pop of those times.
