One of our best selling items, because of the beautiful cover, the incredible coloured vinyl and the chance to know five Spanish bands at a reasonable price. A must!

Another prove of their good taste, adorning with their touch of class our Singles Club. This time they show how they also know and admire the classic songs from the Spanish “movida” of the 80’s, gifting with their personal touch the songs of GOLPES BAJOS, DECIMA VICTIMA and ALASKA Y LOS PEGAMOIDES.

First single ever by this celebrated band from Donosti, with two songs taken from their splendid third album “Saudade”: “Dry Martini” (perhaps the best song -at least the best lyric- in the band’s faultless career) and the song “Saudade” (the title which defines the best the autumnal, melancholic atmosphere of their latest album). With this single we opened the first delivery of our Singles Club.

This living pop legend from Móstoles took its debut on Elefant with two songs that could belong to the best magicians in international pop, with no reason to envy such bands as VELVET CRUSH, THE POSIES or TEENAGE FANCLUB, never forgetting their ever-present classical influences (BYRDS, NEIL YOUNG...). On the B-side, an instrumental jewel with a hawaiian mood.

They have decided not to be clasified under any concrete category, but to expand in a thousand directions. “I Killed The Sky”, is a spiral of changes of rhythm, distorted voices and guitar craziness. On the flip you can find two new songs: “Spleen” and a demo recorded on a four-track, Bob Dylan’s “My Back Pages”.

After taking their debut in Grabaciones en el Mar with an amazing single chosen by the music press as one of the best of the 94, this band from Zaragoza gave us three superquick, crazed songs that are gone over by the same intensity you can find in the best tracks by SEBADOH, POSIES or GIGOLO AUNTS.

Their very first single, released shortly after of including a song in Bob Stanley’s “We Are Icerink” compilation. Their influences range from THE SUPREMES to CODEINE, from the VELVETs to FELT, passing through DUSTY SPRINGFIELD, FALL, TIM HARDIN, NICK DRAKE, Françoise Hardy, FAMILY or 4AD. Everything that surrounds love, dreams, romanticism, eternal atmospheres... Thomas Bangalter (now of DAFT PUNK fame) played keyboards and engineered on this single. A collectors’!

Female-fronted punk-pop. Cheeky, fast and very melodic.

Two songs not included in their debut album, in which you can find a further piece of their limitless creative flow, each time further from their beginnings but with their unavoidable signature (they’ve got feedback in their blood). “Slow Song”, flushed in an anger attack, crowned by a sonic tidal wave to end it transformed into one of their best songs. “My Doll Friend” is nothing to doubt about: feedback, beatbox, languishing voice...

Four songs walking along very distant paths only joined by their speed and the fuzz-punk. Maybe they will remind you of the first PARKINSON DC for their melodic side, but songs like “Upset” have not equal: they seep teen spirit all through their pores.

Second single of the international band (Irish, Scottish, Spanish), which served as an advance for their debut album. It features the vital, exuberant “Confusion” as its main theme, and “Pearl”, a THROWING MUSES cover version on the B-side, formerly included on their first demo.

A quintet having their ideas really clear and offering, among other things, freshness and fun. Its pop breathes the same oxygen of bands like HEAVENLY (to whom they supported in Madrid) or FAT TULIPS and they own the strength of the best WEDDING PRESENT or SUGAR, proving it every time they play live.
