Every time we come back to this album it brings tears to our eyes. Of course, because each advance single from Joe Moore’s new alter ego makes our heart swell, but also because we are amazed to see how the British composer handles each musical territory he touches so exceptionally. “Back”, the second single from the new project, is a radical example. We know that there will be no more songs from MAZZY STAR, or Julee Cruise, or OPAL. But then we hear “Back”, and it comforts us. It reminds us that music, as much as there are voices and media that try to kill and resuscitate musical labels, never disappears. When the music speaks the truth, it becomes eternal.
